In using this website and buying our products and services you are deemed to have read and agreed to the following terms and conditions:

The following terminology applies to these Terms and Conditions, Privacy Statement and Disclaimer Notice and any or all Agreements: ”Client”, “You” and “Your” refers to you, the person accessing this website and accepting the Company’s terms and conditions. “The Company”, “Ourselves”, “We” and “Us”, refers to our Company. “Party”, “Parties”, or “Us”, refers to both the Client and ourselves, or either the Client or ourselves.

 

All terms refer to the offer, acceptance and consideration of payment necessary to undertake the process of our assistance to the Client in the most appropriate manner, whether by formal meetings of a fixed duration, or any other means, for the express purpose of meeting the Client’s needs in respect of provision of the Company’s stated services/products, in accordance with and subject to, prevailing English Law.

 

Any use of the above terminology or other words in the singular, plural, capitalisation and/or he/she or they, are taken as interchangeable and therefore as referring to same.

 

These terms and conditions form the basis of the contract through which Universal Journey (UJ, the Company, Alison Roberts, we or us) will deliver a service to you as a UJ client or member (you).

On becoming a client or member of Universal Journey you are automatically agreeing to these terms and conditions and you are providing us with the appropriate consent to handle your personal information in accordance with the Data Protection Act.

 

Alison Roberts claims full and unconditional ownership of the original and official Universal Journey concept and system. Her work on Universal Journey and all IP (intellectual Property) is protected by Creative Barcode and the trust agreement you enter into in receiving products or services from Alison Roberts and Universal Journey. 

 

Provision and prices of Services, Consultations, Workshops, Courses and Products

Alison Roberts provides branded and proprietary Universal Journey goods, services and products through her website www.universaljourney.co.uk and in person. Offerings include 1 to 1 Business, Personal, VIP and Universal Journey consultations, Universal Journey courses and teambuilding. Also  communication skills training and Workshops and the Universal Journey Membership programme.

 

Pricing Information

Fees displayed on the terms and conditions section of the website will always prevail in relation to orders placed on-line.

 

Fees displayed on an application form, on-line or quoted by Alison Roberts or an official a representative of Alison Roberts or the Company, will prevail in relation to membership subscriptions placed verbally or by post.

 

You may make a one-off payment for a one year membership subscription, new or renewal, by cheque, credit/debit card or be placed on an annual rolling contract. Otherwise you agree to pay your subscription on a monthly rolling contract.

 

We reserve the right to increase the price of the membership subscription on an annual basis.  You will be informed of any fee increase within your renewal letter or email.  If we discover an error in the price of your membership subscription, we will inform you as soon as is reasonably possible.

 

Fees are for individual membership only. Prices are subject to change from time to time at the Company’s sole discretion.

 

 

2015 prices, correct and updated as of 01.06.2015 are as follows:

Personal Clients 1 to 1 Mindfulness: face to face, phone and Skype are charged at £150/hour. If extra time is required it will be charged at £2.50/minute.

 

4 Session Mindfulness complete package £575.

 

Personal Universal Journey 1 to 1’s are priced at £250/hour. If extra time is required it will be charged at £4.17/minute. This price includes pre-session module and audios.

 

Universal Journey Mindful Communication/Sales Courses are charged at £575 per client up to a maximum of 20 per group. Quotes for larger groups/specific goals can be discussed upon request.

 

Basic membership is free for all clients. When paid Membership launches, it will be priced at: Silver £7.99, Gold £15.99. There will also be an Executive option at £24.99 for peer-to-peer collaboration and accelerated learning.

 

Business Clients: Basic Teambuilding, Mindful Communication/Sales Classes and Communication half day training delivered at your place of work/company premises, including initial Consultation and preparation as per your agreed objectives is charged at £1,250 for up to 16 delegates (£78.12 each) and £1,500 for up to 20 delegates (£75 each).

 

Groups of up to 30 can be arranged by prior agreement at a cost of  £2100 (£70 each). Travel costs may apply.

 

Extras: follow-up, bespoke content and other add-ons can be arranged during your initial consultation or when you book. Please ask for details.

 

Business/Executive Clients 1 to 1 Mindfulness Coaching sessions priced at £250/hour. If extra time is required it will be charged at £4.17/minute. Travel costs may apply.

 

Demonstrations, Talks and Training content offered during 2015 available at a reduced rate of £75 to Businesses, Groups, Charities and Meetups. The cost is non-refundable, covers travel within central London (zones 1-2) and SW13/SW14 and will need to paid at time of booking in order to secure your event.

 

Travel: within central London (zones 1-2) and SW13/SW14 is free.  Zone 3, outer London, M25 and rest of the UK are charged according to cost of time, travel and whether an overnight stay is required.

 

International Travel: All travel, taxes, visas, food and accommodation fees whilst fulfilling work-related obligations are to be paid by the client, even if the outward/return travel dates fall well before/after training has been delivered. For multiple bookings, collaboration on costs can be arranged, thereby reducing the overall outlay to individual clients.

 

From time to time discounts and special offers are made available via Newsletters and advertised on the Company and other approved websites. In such circumstances these discounted products and program prices, sales, special discounts, free trials and suchlike are valid only for the dates and deadlines upon which they are offered. They are not valid on previous or future purchases. We don’t make exceptions to this policy as it would not be fair practice to do so. The terms of these special promotions are binding.

 

If you have a Founding Member Voucher/Giftcode, you can use this any time you want, against any of our products and services, discounted or not. You may also  transfer it to someone else should you wish to. 

 

We do not take bookings or payment from under 18’s unless they have the written consent of a parent/guardian.

 

Credit and Debit Card Payments via PayPal

All payments made via PayPal incur a fee which is currently 5% of the total. VAT is not currently charged on our services.

 

If you are not using your own credit/debit card to pay for the membership subscription, you must ask the permission of the credit/debit card holder before entering the payment details.

 

When you subscribe to Universal Journey by taking out a paid membership option , or pay for 1 to 1 consultations, workshops, trainings or courses either on-line, by post or verbally, you are confirming that you have obtained the express prior permission of the credit/debit card holder.

 

 

Privacy Statement

We are committed to protecting your privacy. Authorized employees within the company on a need to know basis only use any information collected from individual customers. We constantly review our systems and data to ensure the best possible service to our customers.

 

Parliament has created specific offences for unauthorised actions against computer systems and data. We will investigate any such actions with a view to prosecuting and/or taking civil proceedings to recover damages against those responsible.

 

Confidentiality

We are registered under the Data Protection Act 1998 and as such, any information concerning the Client and their respective Client Records may be passed to third parties. However, Client records are regarded as confidential and therefore will not be divulged to any third party, unless legally required to do so to the appropriate authorities.

 

Clients have the right to request sight of, and copies of any and all Client Records we keep, on the proviso that we are given reasonable notice of such a request. Clients are requested to retain copies of any literature issued in relation to the provision of our services. Where appropriate, we shall issue Client’s with appropriate written information, handouts or copies of records as part of an agreed contract, for the benefit of both parties.

 

We will not sell, share, or rent your personal information to any third party or use your e-mail address for unsolicited mail. Any emails sent by this Company will only be in connection with the provision of agreed Services and Products and Newsletters from Alison Roberts/Universal Journey.

 

Disclaimer

Exclusions and Limitations 

The information on this web site www.universaljourney.co.uk is provided on an “as is” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, this Company:

  • excludes all representations and warranties relating to this website and its contents or which is or may be provided by any affiliates or any other third party, including in relation to any inaccuracies or omissions in this website and/or the Company’s literature; and
  • excludes all liability for damages arising out of or in connection with your use of this website. This includes, without limitation, direct loss, loss of business or profits (whether or not the loss of such profits was foreseeable, arose in the normal course of things or you have advised this Company of the possibility of such potential loss), damage caused to your computer, computer software, systems and programs and the data thereon or any other direct or indirect, consequential and incidental damages.

 

This Company does not however exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence, should this be proven to be the case. The above exclusions and limitations apply only to the extent permitted by law. None of your statutory rights as a consumer are affected.

 

The Company will not be held responsible for non-provision of Courses due to influences outside its control such as force majeure; “when performance is hindered or prevented by strikes, lockout, riot, war, act of God, insurrection, civil disturbance, fire, interference by any government authority, or other cause beyond the reasonable control of the party affected”.

 

In such circumstances the company will, at its discretion, arrange for the coursers/workshops and provision to take place at another time, which will be published on the company website  www.universaljourney.co.uk under updates, changes and amendments.

 

Information Services

Diligence and care should be taken when using the information provided.  All services are subject to copyright law.  We use our best endeavours to ensure all information provided by us is as up to date as possible.  However, you should not rely on the information provided as the sole basis for making business, legal or other decisions.  You should seek appropriate independent advice before making any such decisions.

 

The content of the website and all accompanying materials are the views of the author Alison Roberts and her research which together comprise Universal Journey, unless otherwise specified. As always, the advice of a competent professional should be sought if you have any hesitation about the contents, viability and suitability for you of the material contained within the Universal Journey Framework.

 

Universal Journey is not recommended for those with any diagnosed or un-diagnosed medical condition, or for those suffering from any form of ill health, be that physical, mental or emotional. By agreeing to these conditions and buying UJ, you warrant that you are in good health and will cease to use the material should your health be affected in any way.

 

Payment Terms

Cash or Personal Cheque with Bankers Card, all major Credit/Debit Cards, via PayPal (to which we add a handling fee of 5%) and BACS Transfer direct into the company bank account are all acceptable methods of payment.

 

Our terms are payment in full at the end of each appointment/session and before Workshop/Course, Talk and Demonstrations and any other service which requires that you secure your place with a non-refundable payment at time of booking.

 

All goods and recordings will remain the property of the Company until paid for in full.

 

Monies that remain outstanding by the due date will incur late payment interest at the rate of 2% above the prevailing Bank of England’s base rate on the outstanding balance until such time as the balance is paid in full and final settlement.

 

We reserve the right to seek recovery of any monies remaining unpaid thirty days from the date of invoice via collection Agencies and/or through the Small Claims Court in the event that the outstanding balance does not exceed £3000. In such circumstances, you shall be liable for any and all additional administrative and/or court costs incurred by Alison Roberts/Universal Journey as a result of recovering your late payment.

 

Returned cheques will incur a £30 charge to cover banking fees and administrative costs. In an instance of a second returned cheque, we reserve the right to terminate the arrangement and shall insist on future transactions in cash only. Consequently, all bookings and/or transactions and agreements entered into will cease with immediate effect until such time as any and all outstanding monies are recovered in full.

 

Sales and Service Policies

All purchases are non-refundable, unless Universal Journey/Alison Roberts is unable to deliver what you have bought. If we are unable to deliver, you will receive a full refund or credit note.

 

Once you have committed to your Universal Journey Course, Workshop or other product or service supplied by us, you are obligated to pay the full amount whether or not you complete the program.

 

If you choose a payment plan to pay for your program, you agree to pay the registration fee in full as per terms of that payment plan as listed on the registration page for the program.

 

If you choose a payment plan to pay for your registration, and your credit or debit card is declined for any reason for any of the payments, you will immediately use another form of payment upon notification of the decline, or you will forfeit your placement in the program until payment is made.

 

If you choose to remove or cancel yourself from a program prior to the end of the program dates, you understand that refunds will not be issued, apart from at our sole discretion.

 

If you’ve chosen to pay your registration fee via the instalment plan, that you are still responsible for paying your balance in full.

 

If you have upgraded your membership and then decide to cancel you will still be charged for the month your membership is active at the higher rate. Cancellation will become effective immediately.

 

Membership is on a rolling month by month commitment with no contract to tie you in. If you cancel your membership into the next billing month, we are not able to offer refunds. Should you decide to cancel, you are advised to do so as near to the cut-off date before the next cycle as possible.

 

If you are an International Client who has scheduled your 1 to 1 Session and your flight has been delayed or cancelled, you may reschedule your Session without incurring any penalty.

 

If you need to reschedule a phone or Skype session, you can do so as long as they give 48 hours’ notice.

If you need to reschedule a 1 to 1 Session, you must give at least one week’s notice.

If you’re late for a session, you are not eligible to regain that time later.

If you miss a booked session, that session is considered complete. The session missed will be charged at the full rate and no refund will be offered.

 

Cancellation Policy

Notification is acceptable for instance in person, via email, mobile phone ‘text message’, or any other means will be accepted subject to confirmation in writing by the client or their representative, and confirmation of receipt of such notice received by Alison Roberts, The Company or their Representatives.

 

In respect of Courses, Workshops and Team-building, training fees will be refunded in full if an application to cancel is made no later than 21 calendar days before the event begins.

 

Cancellation 20 to 8 Calendar days before the start of the course will be refunded 50%, with the balance of 50% being payable immediately to The Company as a non-refundable cancellation fee.

 

In case of late cancellation (24 hours to 7 days) or no-show, the entire value of training falls due to The Company immediately as a non-refundable cancellation fee.

 

In respect of 1 to 1’s and business consultations, a minimum of 48 hours’ notice of cancellation is required.  In such cases we reserve the right to levy a £30 charge to cover our subsequent administrative expenses, payable immediately.

 

If you cancel after this 48 hour period, you will be required to pay a non-refundable charge of 50% of the balance of your agreed order, service, consultation or product.

 

During 2014, subsidised Talks and Demonstrations are strictly non-refundable. 

 

Termination of Agreements and Refunds Policy

Both the Client and Alison Roberts/The Company (Universal Journey) have the right to terminate any Service Agreement for any reason, including the ending of services that are already under way.

 

No refunds shall be offered where a Service is deemed to have begun and is, to all intents and purposes, under way. Any monies that have been paid to The Company which constitute payment in respect of the provision of unused Services shall be offered as a credit note to be taken against future purchases.

 

Once a Course is under way, monies paid shall not be refunded if a Client ‘changes their mind’. In such circumstances only credit notes will be offered unless cancellation came as a result of unavoidable circumstances such as force majeure.

 

Exchanges will be offered if for any reason goods or products arrive damaged or faulty. Return postage of damaged or faulty item/s will be paid for by The Company up to a maximum of £20 per order.

 

Under the distance selling regulations governing on-line sales,when a product or service has been bought on-line via the website www.universaljourney.co.uk or any of its own associated websites, a refund will be offered to customers if they cancel goods within 7 calendar days of receiving them. A refund will be provided within 30 days.

 

Services once taken are non-refundable.

 

Consent:

If you are participating in any live training, workshops or classes, you must agree to the following points:

I agree that any recorded or written material included as part of this training are protected by international copyright laws and are covered under the Creative Barcode Trust Charter agreement between Alison Roberts/Universal Journey and You (the third party). All and any material may not be used without obtaining prior written permission from Alison Roberts and her Representatives. Violation of any of these requirements will result in immediate action to protect our (Alison Roberts’ and Universal Journey’s) materials.

 

As a participant I agree to NOT record any part of this training in any format, whether by audio recording, videotaping, digitally recording, filming or by any other means.

 

I understand that portions of this seminar/workshop/class may be photographed, and/or recorded on audio or videotape. I understand that my likeness may appear on photographs and/or my voice and/or image may appear on audio/video tapes, and I agree that no compensation will be paid to me for any products or revenues or any other value derived from these photographs and audio/video recordings. I waive all rights I may be entitled to from the use of such images or recordings, completely.

 

I do not ask for, nor expect, any compensation of any kind from any of the photographs, audios, videos, notes, books, training materials, workbooks, DVDs or any other product that has arisen out of the event/s that I have attended or anything in any way connected to the event/s I will attend. I certify that my participation in this event is of my own free will. I accept complete responsibility for my well-being at all times during the 6 week course and at all other trainings, workshops, meetings and live events of any kind.

 

I agree to release and hold harmless Alison Roberts/Universal Journey and all its Employees, Agents and Representatives from any claim arising out of any portion of the training in which I voluntarily participate, including any claim for physical and/or mental injury to myself, whether caused by negligence or otherwise. If this statement and agreement does not accurately reflect my current state of health and well-being, and my situation, I agree to notify Alison Roberts and Universal Journey and their Employees, Agents and Representatives immediately, and before participating in this Training or Event.

 

I understand that if I am found to be unfit to participate by a Staff Member, Employee, Agent and/or Representative of Alison Roberts/Universal Journey, that I will forfeit the cost of the training and any refund of monies paid. Under certain circumstances, this will be held for me as a credit against future participation at a Universal Journey Course or Event, or training of my choice and I will be required to leave immediately. No questions or discussions will be entered into and Alison Roberts/Universal Journey and all of its Staff Members, Employees, Agents and/or Representatives will be the sole judge of my fitness to participate.

 

I agree that all information and material presented and/or developed, created or designed during the course of this seminar or event, including all copyright and intellectual property interests therein, shall be the sole and exclusive property of Alison Roberts/Universal Journey. The ownership interests of Alison Roberts/Universal Journey shall extend to include any comments that I may make publicly to the audience and my fellow attendees at large during the course of this event.

 

Lastly, I agree that I shall never, in whole or part, claim at any time that the material and systems presented by Alison Roberts and Universal Journey, her Staff Members, Employees, Agents and/or Representatives, originated from me in whole or part.

 

I recognise that Alison Roberts is the true originator of the Universal Journey in its entirety and that this is the absolute and incontestable truth and fact. Complaints Procedure

The Client shall direct any complaints in the first instance to the Company’s Customer Service Department in writing within 7 days of receipt of the product, goods or services at customerservice@universaljourney.co.uk

 

Force Majeure

Neither party shall be liable to the other for any failure to perform any obligation under any Agreement which is due to an event beyond the control of such party including but not limited to any Act of God, terrorism, war, Political insurgence, insurrection, riot, civil unrest, act of civil or military authority, uprising, earthquake, flood or any other natural or man made eventuality outside of our control, which causes the termination of an agreement or contract entered into, nor which could have been reasonably foreseen.

 

Any Party affected by such event shall forthwith inform the other Party of the same and shall use all reasonable endeavours to comply with the terms and conditions of any Agreement contained herein.

 

Waiver

Failure of either Party to insist upon strict performance of any provision of this or any Agreement or the failure of either Party to exercise any right or remedy to which it, he or they are entitled hereunder shall not constitute a waiver thereof and shall not cause a diminution of the obligations under this or any Agreement.

 

No waiver of any of the provisions of this or any Agreement shall be effective unless it is expressly stated to be such and signed by both Parties.

 

General

The laws of England and Wales govern these terms and conditions. By accessing this website and using our services/buying our products, you consent to these terms and conditions and to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts in all disputes arising out of such access.
